How do we understand reality? Do the smallest particles in the universe lead to the biggest ripples across vast scales of space and time? Creating multilayered interpretation comprising written text, an audio guide, and live events for Quantum Untangled, an exhibition at Science Gallery London exploring how quantum physics shapes our universe, gave me the opportunity to explore these questions, and many more, with King’s College London physicists. Featuring artists and scientists in dialogue, the audio guide provided an opportunity to dive deeper into questions at the heart of the exhibition; probing the limits of perception, the birth of the universe, shadow ways of knowing and the role of art in making tangible what lies beyond our experience. Alongside a BSL interpretation offer, my interpretation strategy foregrounded sensory experience and wonder.
The exhibition featured work by artists Conrad Shawcross RA, Alistair McClymont, Monica C. LoCascio & Daniela Brill Estrada, Matthew Woodham, Robin Baumgarten, Chandrika Narayanan-Mohan and David Severn.
